MHP's 'suitcase' response to Özgür Özel: 'It is near time for him to pack his bags politically'

MHP Secretary General and Bursa Deputy İsmet Büyükataman made statements regarding CHP leader Özgür Özel tearing up a paper containing Devlet Bahçeli's words during yesterday's parliamentary group meeting.

In his statement yesterday, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel criticized the remarks made by MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli directed at him and tore up the paper containing those statements.

He then used a suitcase he brought with him to calculate the cost of purchasing a vehicle, saying, "If he wants, you can give the suitcase to Bahçeli as well."

MHP Secretary General İsmet Büyükataman used the following expressions in a post on his social media account regarding these remarks by Özel:

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel has avoided responding to the justified criticisms directed at him by our Chairman, Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, and has committed an act of discourtesy on the TBMM podium yesterday that does not befit the Veteran Parliament.

The unbecoming behavior displayed by Özgür Özel has been a declaration that he has no words left to say, that the CHP is in decline, and that it has no answer to give to our noble nation.

The CHP and Özgür Özel, simmering in the 'DEM' of imperialism, have once again shown on the TBMM podium that they have lost hope in the nation and democracy.

The mask of the CHP, which feeds on polarization, survives through funded pens, and collaborates with opponents of democracy, has fallen.

Özgür Özel has run out of words, his true face has been revealed, and he has become a victim of the fits of rage he has experienced on the podiums.

What we have to say to Özgür Özel and the CHP is this: The words of our Chairman, Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, are the voice of the conscience of the great Turkish nation. The end of anyone who does not heed this voice and attempts to tear it up is darkness.

If things continue this way, it is near for Özgür Özel to pack his bags politically and be condemned to office politics."
