Minister Tunç ignored election bans: Attended 21 events in 7 days!

Despite the ban on propaganda for ministers 10 days before the March 31 Local Elections, Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç has set up base in 4 provinces.

Supporting the campaigns of AKP and People's Alliance mayoral candidates, Tunç has attended a total of 21 events in the last week, including election office openings, rallies, public meetings, shopkeeper visits, and iftar dinners in the provinces of Bartın, Zonguldak, Karabük, and Çankırı.

HE WILL BE IN THE REGION UNTIL ELECTION DAY

Minister Tunç toured the districts of Amasra, Ulus, and Kurucaşile, as well as the towns of Kozcağız, Kumluca, Abdipaşa, and Hasankadı in Bartın alongside mayoral candidates, participating in rallies, shopkeeper visits, and iftar programs. In the Bartın city center, Tunç joined the People's Alliance MHP mayoral candidate Hüseyin Fahri Fırıncıoğlu for a shopkeeper visit and an iftar program. He also participated in shopkeeper visits, rallies, and NGO meetings in the Soğuksu neighborhood and Kilimli district of Zonguldak, and the Safranbolu and Yenice districts of Karabük, while also taking part in programs such as party organization visits and shopkeeper tours in the Çankırı city center. Listening to the concerns of shopkeepers and citizens one by one during these programs, Minister Tunç requested support for the AK Party and People's Alliance mayoral candidates.

In these programs, Tunç drew attention to the 'harmony' between the government and local administrations, and explained the municipal governance style of President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to the local public.

Minister Tunç is expected to remain in the region until Sunday, when the elections will be held.

WHAT DOES THE LAW SAY?

During the 10-day period before voting day, it is prohibited to publish or distribute in any way, through written, oral, or visual media and broadcasting tools, public opinion polls, surveys, forecasts, or mini-referendums via information and communication phones, in favor of or against a political party or candidate, or in a manner that would influence the votes of citizens.

Election propaganda and trips by ministers and members of parliament within the country cannot be conducted using official vehicles or vehicles allocated for official service. During such trips, welcoming and farewell ceremonies required by protocol cannot be held, and official banquets cannot be given.

No civil servant may participate in the trips of ministers, members of parliament, and candidates within the scope of election propaganda.
