CHP Chairman Özgür Özel made statements regarding the election process in Bayrampaşa. Özel stated that the determined stance of the CHP group and the fact that one member acted according to their conscience led to the election being decided by a draw.
Özel said, "There was a great injustice and an attempt at a political power grab in Bayrampaşa. However, thanks to the firm stance of the CHP group and the conscientious behavior of one member, the election went to a draw. Justice was served as a result of the draw."
