Murat Bakan reacts to Minister Yerlikaya over 'HÜDA PAR' visit: You have reached the end of the time we granted you

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya's "courtesy visit" to HÜDA PAR, which is stated to have links to the terrorist organization Hezbollah, has become a subject of controversy.

Following Yerlikaya's visit to HÜDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu in his office at the TBMM (Grand National Assembly of Turkey), CHP İzmir MP Murat Bakan expressed his reaction.

Addressing Yerlikaya via his social media account, Murat Bakan stated, "I cannot accept that you visited the HÜDA PAR Chairman in his office at the Parliament," and continued with the following remarks:

"How could you go to the doorstep of the defenders of the murderers of our heroic martyred police officer Gaffar Okkan and his protection officers Mehmet Kamalı, Mehmet Sepetçi, Selahattin Baysoy, Sabri Kün, and Atilla Durmuş, and pay a ‘courtesy visit’?

As the Interior Minister of this country, how could you appear in the same frame as defenders of Hezbollah?

How could you stomach this?

You have pained the memory of Gaffar Okkan, his protection officers, and dozens of people who were tortured and brutally murdered with 'pig ties'.

With that photo you took with the defenders of the murderers of Gaffar Okkan, whom all police officers take as an example, you have pained the hearts of tens of thousands of our police officers in the Police Department.

With this move, you have demolished the impression you created since taking office, and you have reached the end of the time we granted you.

From now on, while following all the work and regulations you carry out, this ‘courtesy visit’ will not leave our minds."
