CHP Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir reacted to AKP Deputy Chairperson Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya's request to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to be relieved of all her duties following allegations against her.
Making a statement on his social media account, Emir argued that the government cannot close the process by placing the responsibility on a single person.
What a nice setup. Make decisions together, walk together; when the truth can no longer be hidden, declare one person at fault and step aside.
In his statement, Emir said, "They know the game of sacrificing a pawn to save the whole board very well when they are cornered. But this time, the curtain will not close so easily."
Stating, "No one should tell the fairy tale of 'The former minister made a mistake, we did what was necessary' while looking into the eyes of 500 thousand of our people," Emir added, "You cannot close the account for the morsel stolen from the nation's throat by sacrificing one seat."
Emir concluded his statement by saying, "The era of saving the real heads with a 'we gave a head' show is over. The hands holding the table will also be held accountable. It won't work this time."
