Murat Kurum begins election campaign by distributing soup and simit

AKP's Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayoral Candidate Murat Kurum distributed soup to citizens following morning prayers at the Eyüpsultan Mosque.

After performing morning prayers at the Eyüpsultan Mosque, Murat Kurum visited the tomb of Eyüpsultan. Kurum then distributed soup to the citizens.

Murat Kurum was accompanied by AKP Istanbul Provincial Chairman Osman Nuri Kabaktepe and party members.

"TRANSPORTATION ORDEAL"

Kurum made the following statement there:

"We will begin with prayers, and God willing, we will finish with prayers. We will always be by our nation's side. We will be the same as we have been before. We have always been by our nation's side during their difficult days. We will be by the side of Istanbul residents whenever they need us. And in this spiritual climate, in this blessed city, we will continue to walk hand in hand with the dear people of Istanbul. You will always see us working; you will see us ending the transportation ordeal, you will see us eliminating the earthquake risk, you will see us seeking solutions to our nation's problems; we will never be involved in polemics. God willing, we will carry out this process hand in hand with our nation."

"WE HAVE TAKEN NOTE OF WHAT OUR NATION LACKS"

Stating, "We have been conducting studies and field research for months," Kurum expressed the following:

"Together with our organization, we hit the field after the May elections, saying 'Istanbul again.' We have taken note of what our nation lacks. Our priority issues are clear. We have evaluated the processes with expert colleagues. Primarily transportation, our earthquake risk, urban transformation, and the safety and peace of Istanbul... As grandchildren of our ancestors, we will protect the works left to us by our civilization here. With the inspiration we receive from our civilization, we will build the future together with our youth and our women. We are certain that we will recover these 5 lost years of Istanbul by working hard, producing much, struggling with all our colleagues, and by putting forward emergency action plans. We will have project presentations in the coming period. We will share our work in detail."

Kurum was also seen distributing simit in a post he shared on X.
