Müsavat Dervişoğlu reacts once again to the Öcalan call: 'This is a general amnesty plan'

İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu met with members of his party's Istanbul 3rd District organization at a breakfast program.

Stating that a great trouble has been brought upon Turkey, Dervişoğlu said, "Now, various morbid moves are being developed to take different steps in order to ensure the resolution of the terror problem that is claimed to be experienced within Turkey. One of these is presenting Abdullah Öcalan as if he were an important actor in the developments taking place in the regional geography, and putting into practice a claim that peace, tranquility, and calm will be ensured in the region through the stance he will put forward."

REACTION TO THE ÖCALAN CALL CONTINUES

Reminding of MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli's invitation to PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan to the TBMM group podium, Dervişoğlu continued his words as follows:

"To think that Abdullah Öcalan can direct and manage the Syrian Democratic Forces, the YPG and the PYD in northern Syria as he wishes is beyond irrationality; it is a sign of national madness. It is an expression of the insanity of those who govern this country. Furthermore, to wish for Abdullah Öcalan to be brought to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey podium and make a call for the terrorist organization to lay down its arms is a cruelty and a shame for political parties that have come to the present day with the essence of the Turkish nationalism cause, and for those who claim to lead those political parties. We are ashamed and saddened by the attitude adopted today by this structure from which we emerged. But we think there must be a justification behind this. What is intended to be done? What is intended to be planned? We must think about what the reality behind the attempt to bring a convicted terrorist leader from İmralı to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and have him address the nation or his party from an honorable podium will be. Abdullah Öcalan does not live in any district of Ankara. Abdullah Öcalan is imprisoned in İmralı. For him to be able to come to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and benefit from the right to hope, he must first be released. As the İYİ Party, we have expressed this clearly and netly with the resistance of all our fellow party members."

"WE WILL NEVER ALLOW THIS PLAN"

Dervişoğlu continued his words as follows:

"If those who govern the Republic of Turkey and those who act with them have a special desire for the release of Abdullah Öcalan and are emphasizing the necessity of Abdullah Öcalan's release to end terrorism, then I am calling out from here. If you have the power, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, you have the authority, you can pardon Abdullah Öcalan whenever you want, but we will not allow a general amnesty in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. Because allowing this amnesty means; it will also release the FETÖ members who are in prisons because of the Fethullah Gülen Terrorist Organization, which has brought great troubles upon Turkey, and because of their loyalty to that terrorist organization; it will also release the drug traffickers who have become a plague on Turkey. It will also release the leaders and members of gangs that have set their sights on Turkey's honor and chastity. If this amnesty plan were to turn from thought into action, Sinan Ateş's murderers and their accomplices would also be released. We will not fall for this trap. We will never, ever allow this plan to be put into action."
