Mustafa Bozbey responds to claims he will 'transfer to the AKP'
Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey has once again denied allegations that he will join the AK Party. Bozbey stated that such rumors are not well-intentioned.
Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey has made statements regarding rumors that he would join the AKP. Bozbey stated that these allegations are baseless and that keeping them on the agenda is not a well-intentioned approach.
Bozbey said, "We were in Ankara recently for the rally and the extraordinary congress case. During this visit, we also stopped by our Headquarters and made a post on our social media account saying, 'we are at the father's hearth, we are at home.' There is nothing more to be said on this matter. We are at our post and are spending all our energy to serve Bursa."
Following recent operations targeting CHP municipalities, the fact that some mayors joined the AKP had led to rumors that Bozbey would also switch to that party. However, Bozbey denied these allegations for the second time and stated that he would attend the extraordinary congress to be held on Sunday, September 21.
