Mustafa Sarıgül comments on 'new party': It would be very different from TDP
CHP Erzincan MP Mustafa Sarıgül commented on the discussions regarding a potential new party, stating, "There is a wave coming from the grassroots."
CHP Erzincan MP Mustafa Sarıgül made assessments regarding the discussions about a new party that is rumored to be established under the leadership of Özgür Özel.
Responding to a question from journalist Şaban Sevinç, Sarıgül said that if such a party were to be established, it would not resemble the Türkiye Değişim Partisi (TDP) he founded previously.
Drawing attention to Özgür Özel's performance in the CHP, Sarıgül stated, "Özgür Özel made the CHP the leading party and has subsequently created a very successful profile. Mr. Özgür is currently in the position of a folk hero. There is a wave coming from the grassroots for him to establish a new party; the party he would establish would be extraordinarily successful."
