New act in the expulsion debate: Sharp response from Zeynel Emre to Müslim Sarı's remarks

Appearing before the press at the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM), Zeynel Emre, spokesperson for the CHP's elected leadership, made comprehensive assessments regarding the party's internal disciplinary agenda and recent statements.

Pointing to the remarks made by Müslim Sarı regarding the deputies recently referred to disciplinary action with a request for expulsion, in which he stated, "Finalized court rulings will be issued soon regarding these friends," Emre reacted to this claim. Emre emphasized that the deputies' immunity remains in effect, stating, "These individuals are members of parliament. Their immunity has not been lifted. How do you know they will be tried?"

Drawing attention to recent developments within the party, Zeynel Emre also responded to comments regarding the party membership of Veysi Uyanık, who benefited from effective remorse in the party congress lawsuit involving Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.

While Emre stated that, to his knowledge, Veysi Uyanık is not a CHP member, he noted that the public is questioning the fact that Uyanık's son serves on the Central Executive Board (MYK). Emre used the following expressions: "Veysi Uyanık is not a party member as far as we know; naturally, citizens question it when they see his son in the MYK. They wonder if it is the result of an agreement."
