New development in the CHP Congress investigation! Lütfü Savaş to testify

A criminal complaint had been filed with the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for the cancellation of the CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress, alleging that "the will of the delegates was corrupted." Following this, Lütfü Savaş, the former CHP Mayor of Hatay Metropolitan Municipality, also filed a lawsuit in the Civil Court of First Instance to have the Congress annulled.

In response, the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office summoned Savaş to the Prosecutor's Office on February 25 to provide his statement as part of the investigation into the Congress.

It has been learned that Savaş will hold a press conference in front of the courthouse with his lawyer, Onur Yusuf Üregen, after giving his statement.

In his petition for the lawsuit, in which he requested the removal of the party administration from office, Savaş stated, "If crimes had not been committed within the scope of corruption of will, it would be clearly seen that if 10 votes had been cast for the other candidate instead of the current chairman, the election would have resulted in favor of the other candidate. If crimes such as bribery, etc., had not been committed within the scope of corruption of will, the losing candidate would have won the congress in question by a very high margin and would have been elected chairman."
