The Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into lawyer Tuba Torun, the wife of former CHP MP Aykut Erdoğdu, who is currently detained in the IMM case, due to her speech at the Family Solidarity Network.

The Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office included the following statements in its announcement:

Regarding the words uttered by Tuba TORUN ERDOĞDU, the lawyer for the detained defendant Aykut Erdoğdu, during a press statement made while the trial of the Istanbul 40th High Criminal Court's case file numbered 2025/318 was ongoing at the hearing hall located in the Marmara Penal Execution Institutions Campus on 30/04/2026, an investigation has been initiated by our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, taking into account the provisions of the Attorneyship Law.
