New IYI Party IMM Group Deputy Chair Sarı's 'official vehicle' post: 'I respectfully announce that I have waived it'

While the wave of resignations continues rapidly within the IYI Party, Suat Sarı, who was appointed to replace İbrahim Özkan—who first resigned from his position as Group Deputy Chair and subsequently from the IYI Party—made a post on social media regarding an "official vehicle."

Sarı said the following in his post:

While our country is struggling with economic problems and our nation with the cost of living, as a first step to be taken within the scope of austerity measures, regulations must be made regarding the “luxury official vehicle” practice, which has become a chronic illness of the public sector and exceeds necessity.

As a result of the evaluations I made with our Provincial Chair Mr. Yücel Coşkun, I respectfully inform the public that, in order to create awareness in the public sector, I have waived the chauffeur-driven official vehicle that would have been re-allocated to me due to my position as IYI Party Group Deputy Chair.

IMM Group Deputy Chair Suat Sarı had previously announced that he was a candidate for the IMM mayoral nomination.
