New poll results released in the İmamoğlu-Kurum race: What is the point gap?
The first poll has been released following the AKP's selection of former Minister of Environment and Urbanization Murat Kurum as its candidate for the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) ahead of the March 31, 2024, local elections.
With only days remaining until the March 31 local elections, the first poll has been released following Murat Kurum's nomination as the AKP candidate.
Yöneylem Research shared the results of the election poll it conducted for the İBB candidates between January 7 and 9.
In addition to Ekrem İmamoğlu and Murat Kurum, whose candidacies have been confirmed, the results included candidates from the İYİ Party, DEM Party, New Welfare Party (Yeniden Refah Partisi), and other parties listed anonymously.
39.1 percent of the voters participating in the poll stated that they would vote for Ekrem İmamoğlu. Thus, İmamoğlu ranked first among all candidates. İmamoğlu's closest rival, Murat Kurum, was the choice of 32.9 percent of the participants.
According to this picture, there is a 6.2 percent gap between İmamoğlu and Kurum.
