No backing down in IYI Party! Jet appointments by Akşener to replace Güner and Üçok
In the IYI Party, Head of Law and Justice Policies Ahmet Zeki Üçok was dismissed, while Social Policies Head and GIK member Ece Güner resigned from the IYI Party. IYI Party leader Meral Akşener has made appointments to replace these two names.

In her resignation, Güner criticized the GIK decision and stated that Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu should be supported in the local elections.
While no statement has come from the IYI Party regarding the matter, Party Spokesperson and Ankara Deputy Kürşad Zorlu announced the new appointments via his X account.
Zorlu stated the following:
JET APPOINTMENTS
"In line with the discretion of our Chairperson, Ms. Meral Akşener, some changes have been made to our Party's Presidential Council.
Accordingly, the previously separate Law and Election Affairs Presidencies have been merged, and our Afyon Deputy Mr. Hakan Şeref Olgun has been appointed to replace Mr. Ahmet Zeki Üçok, while our Tekirdağ Deputy Ms. Selcan Taşçı Hamşioğlu has been appointed to replace Ms. Ece Güner, who was serving as the Head of Social Policies. Additionally, Mr. Sedat Aksakallı, who has been serving as the Head of Financial Affairs on an acting basis, will continue the same duty on a permanent basis.
We wish success to our friends who have taken on new duties; we would like to emphasize once again our determination to move towards our party's goal with firm steps."
