Notable Mansur Yavaş comment in the 'Butlan' CHP! Vahap Seçer reaction to Özgür Özel

'Butlan' CHP Spokesperson Müslim Sarı reacted to the phone call between YENİ Party Chairman Özgür Özel and Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Vahap Seçer. Stating that Özel is now the chairman of another party, Sarı said, "He should stop harassing CHP mayors."

The first meeting held with provincial chairmen following Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's appointment via a decision of absolute nullity (butlan) also drew attention regarding organizational, congress, and convention processes within the party, as well as the position of mayors. It was stated that at the meeting held at the CHP Headquarters, party officials gave presentations to provincial chairmen on membership efforts and organization, and that problems experienced in the field were also addressed.

It was reported that the provincial chairmen who took the floor at the meeting reacted to the debates surrounding the CHP Chairmanship and expressed their support for Kılıçdaroğlu's chairmanship. CHP sources assessed that this support would continue during the convention process.

EMPHASIS ON ORGANIZATION AND MUNICIPAL BALANCE

It was learned that Kılıçdaroğlu made assessments during the meeting regarding the roles of deputies and mayors in determining and implementing party policy. It was reported that Kılıçdaroğlu stated that deputies voice the determined policy in the TBMM, while mayors are the implementers of these policies in the field.

"THEIR BODY CANNOT BE HERE WHILE THEIR SOUL IS ELSEWHERE"

CHP staff also argued that the balance between mayors and organizations has been disrupted recently, stating that they aim to strengthen organizations in the new period. The staff emphasized that mayors and council members must clearly state their political positions.

In this context, regarding the transition of mayors to the YENİ Party and the indecisive stance of some figures, the expressions "Their body cannot be here while their soul is elsewhere. No political party would accept this" were used.

MANSUR YAVAŞ ASSESSMENT FROM STAFF

Making assessments regarding Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş, CHP staff stated that Yavaş is a CHP mayor. The staff said, "We are constantly talking and meeting with Mr. Mansur. There is no problem in terms of communication. Perhaps we will see him more at party events in the coming days."

SARI'S RESPONSE TO THE SEÇER MEETING

CHP Spokesperson Müslim Sarı made statements to journalists regarding the phone call that took place between Özgür Özel and the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye and Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Vahap Seçer.

Reminding of the speech Seçer made at the 2nd Brotherly Migrants Yörük Event, Sarı used the expression, "Mr. Vahap clearly said he would engage in politics here."

Reacting harshly to Özel, Sarı assessed, "Why is Özel messaging a CHP mayor? He should stop harassing CHP mayors. He is now the chairman of another party and should act that way. Political ethics require this."
