Hürriyet columnist Abdulkadir Selvi has made striking claims regarding Istanbul.
Selvi listed the district municipalities in Istanbul where the CHP 'will not nominate again'.
The relevant part of Selvi's column is as follows:
"It is an indisputable fact that Ekrem İmamoğlu will determine the CHP's district mayoral candidates in Istanbul. So much so that İmamoğlu's team has already begun the vetting process for candidates. It is said that 9 mayors who supported Kılıçdaroğlu at the party congress will not be nominated again. These names are:
Bakırköy-Bülent Kerimoğlu
Maltepe- Ali Kılıç
Ataşehir-Battal İlgezdi
Adalar-Erdem Gül
Şişli-Muammer Keskin
Sarıyer-Şükrü Genç
Esenyurt-Kemal Deniz Bozkurt
Kadıköy- Şerdil Dara Odabaşı
MURAT ONGUN CLAIM
It is said that the mayors who acted in concert with Ekrem İmamoğlu at the congress will continue on their paths. Who are they? Beylikdüzü-Mehmet Murat Çalık, Büyükçekmece- Hasan Akgün, Küçükçekmece-Kemal Çebi, Kartal-Gökhan Yüksel, Beşiktaş- Rıza Akpolat,
İmamoğlu's right-hand man Murat Ongun is also said to want the Beşiktaş Mayoralty. Let's see what will happen to Rıza Akpolat?"
