Now a 'score' tension between CHP and İYI Party: 'At least 10 deputies would come'
A response has come from the İYI Party camp to the remarks of Günaydın, who claimed that there are at least 10 deputies who want to switch from the İYI Party to the CHP.
CHP Group Deputy Chairman Gökhan Günaydın stated, "If we wanted to, at least 10 deputies would come from the İYI Party to the CHP, but our concern is not to keep score."
İYI Party's Buğra Kavuncu responded to Günaydın's statements.
CHP Group Deputy Chairman Gökhan Günaydın made important statements on the program "Özgür İfade" (Free Expression) with Cansu Canan, which aired on tv100.
CHP'S GÜNAYDIN: OUR CONCERN IS NOT TO KEEP SCORE
Özgen reported the statements of Günaydın, who claimed that there are at least 10 deputies who want to switch from the İYI Party to the CHP, as follows:
"Günaydın stated, 'If we wanted to, at least 10 deputies would come from the İYI Party to the CHP today. But our concern is not to keep score.
As the CHP, we are trying to bring citizens' problems to the agenda and produce solutions. Today, we held a very beautiful wheat rally in Hayrabolu.'"
REACTION FROM İYI PARTY'S KAVUNCU
The response from the İYI Party camp to the statements of CHP's Günaydın was not delayed.
İYI Party Group Deputy Chairman Buğra Kavuncu reacted to Günaydın's words on his social media account with the following statements:
"The statement made by a CHP group deputy chairman, 'If we wanted to, at least 10 deputies would come from the İYI Party to the CHP, but we are not chasing a score,' fits neither political ethics nor courtesy.
Interpreting the national will as political arrogance primarily means harming that will.
While Turkey has been suffering from arrogance, ego, and rudeness for years, it is worrying to see the same habit here as well. I condemn these discourteous statements."
