Objection filed against the detention of Zafer Party leader Ümit Özdağ

An objection has been filed against the detention of Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ. In a statement made via the Zafer Party's official social media account, it was noted that Özdağ's lawyers submitted a 14-page objection petition to the court. 

The statement indicated that the petition includes severe criticisms regarding the accusations leveled against Özdağ. 

The statement included the following expressions: 

"TO THE PRESS AND THE PUBLIC

Following the unlawful arrest of our Chairman, Prof. Dr. Ümit Özdağ, a 14-page objection petition containing severe criticisms regarding the "flight risk" cited as the reason for his arrest and the alleged crime has been submitted to the court by the lawyers of our Chairman, Prof. Dr. Ümit Özdağ.

In the objection petition, the lawyers drew attention to the fact that the liberty of our Chairman, Prof. Dr. Ümit Özdağ, has been restricted and that the unlawfulness in the arrest decision has reached grave dimensions."
