E.D., the Director of Culture and Social Affairs at the Beykoz Municipality prior to January 15, has been taken into custody due to unlawful transactions regarding the municipality's concert events.
WHAT HAPPENED?
The Beykoz Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had launched an investigation into allegations of "irregular spending" concerning three concert organizations held by the Beykoz Municipality, as well as the process in which Beykoz 1908 AŞ purchased the rights of Tuzlaspor to compete in the TFF 2nd League under the name Beykoz Anadolu Spor AŞ.
Beykoz Mayor Alaattin Köseler had made the following statement:
"In the tender consisting of a total of 145 items, artist payments were not 19 million liras, but only 2 million 145 thousand liras. The concerts were organized within the scope of an open tender. They were carried out with the public interest in mind. As for the allegation regarding Beykoz 1908 AŞ, it is a completely legal situation for it to compete in the professional league under the name Beykoz Anadolu Spor AŞ by acquiring the rights of Tuzlaspor in the Turkish Football Federation's second league."
