Örsan Öymen: 'Our primary goal is intra-party democracy'
CHP chairmanship candidate Örsan Öymen said, "Our primary goal is to ensure intra-party democracy and fulfill all its requirements."
Visiting his party's Kocaeli Provincial Organization, Öymen chatted with CHP chairmanship candidate and Group Chairman Özgür Özel, who had visited before him, and wished him success in his election campaign.
Stating that they came to the city to introduce themselves to the Kocaeli organization, Öymen said that they want to produce solutions in line with the principles they have determined in economy, industry, agriculture, technology, education, and health.
''WE WILL UPHOLD THE PRINCIPLES OF DEMOCRATIC LEFTISM''
Explaining that they have two main goals, Öymen said, "Our primary goal is to ensure intra-party democracy and fulfill all its requirements. The second is to ensure that the party returns to its own principles and essence. We want to uphold the principles of republicanism, populism, nationalism, secularism, revolutionism, social democracy, and democratic leftism, and find answers to Turkey's problems in line with these principles."
''WE HAVE MANY GOALS, SUCH AS A CHAIRMAN WHO LOSES NOT RUNNING AGAIN''
Stating that they will also take steps regarding intra-party democracy, Öymen said, "We have many goals, such as intra-party education, primary elections, holding elections with open lists, making neighborhood congresses democratic, and a chairman who loses two consecutive elections not running again. We want to implement these."
Provincial Chairman Bülent Sarı also thanked Öymen for his visit.
