Özgür Özel attends the 42nd anniversary of the TRNC

Events were held in Nicosia to celebrate the 42nd anniversary of the founding of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). Among those attending the events, in addition to CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, were many important figures from Turkey.

CHP LEADER ÖZEL ATTENDED THE TRNC PRESIDENT'S CONGRATULATORY CEREMONY

Özgür Özel traveled to Nicosia to congratulate Tufan Erhürman, who was elected President of the TRNC after winning the elections held on October 26. During this visit, Özel attended the Republic Day reception together with President Erhürman. The event was also attended by Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Celal Adan, AKP Deputy Chairman Mustafa Elitaş, and Democratic Left Party (DSP) Chairman Önder Aksakal.

42ND ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS IN THE TRNC

Following the celebrations held today, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel attended the Republic Day reception in Nicosia. In addition to TRNC Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, and Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Celal Adan, other important participants were also present at the Republic Day reception.

ÖZEL IS EXPECTED TO MEET WITH ERHÜRMAN

The CHP leader is expected to hold a meeting with TRNC President Tufan Erhürman. Özel had traveled to Nicosia with a CHP delegation the day before and met with TRNC Assembly Speaker Ziya Öztürkler.
