BURSA-BASED INVESTIGATION CONDUCTED ON A LARGE SCALE
It was announced that a detention process had been initiated against Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey by the prosecutor's office and that a search was conducted at his home. It was announced that simultaneous operations were carried out in Bursa, Istanbul, Balıkesir, and Diyarbakır as part of the Bursa-based investigation.
According to the statement, proceedings were carried out against a total of 59 people. It was stated that 55 of these individuals were taken into custody, while efforts to apprehend the remaining 4 are ongoing.
It was stated that among those detained were some members of Mustafa Bozbey's family as well as individuals from his municipal circle.
In the information provided by the prosecutor's office, it was noted that the investigation is being conducted under the allegations of "establishing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes," "being a member of an organization," and "laundering assets derived from crime."
