Özgür Özel commemorates Abdi İpekçi

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel commemorated journalist Abdi İpekçi, who was murdered by Mehmet Ali Ağca, via X.

Özel stated the following:

"Throughout his professional life, he never gave up on the goal of telling the truth, never compromised on journalistic principles, and no one ever doubted his honesty.

I respectfully commemorate the editor-in-chief of Milliyet newspaper, #Abdiİpekçi, on the 45th anniversary of his murder in a dark assassination."

According to the report in Milliyet; İpekçi will be commemorated at his gravesite in Zincirlikuyu Cemetery with the participation of the İpekçi family, as well as Milliyet newspaper employees, colleagues, and journalist friends.
