Özgür Özel, who left the CHP to establish the New Party, visited Anıtkabir with the Founders' Board following his election as chairman.
Özgür Özel, who left the CHP to establish the New Party and was elected chairman of his party, visited Anıtkabir together with the members of the Founders' Board.
Speaking to members of the press following the Founders' Board meeting held at the Anadolu Club, Özel stated that he was elected chairman by unanimous vote.
In his statement, Özel said, "Dear friends, we thank each and every one of you for witnessing this historic day and for conveying it to all of Turkey moment by moment."
Speaking about the visit to Anıtkabir, Özel said, "At Anıtkabir, together with our Founders' Board, we will be in the presence of our Ancestor, the founder of our country, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and we will be in the presence of our İsmet Pasha."
