Özgür Özel met with citizens in the Kemalpaşa district of Artvin. Addressing the "fund crisis" currently on Turkey's agenda, Özel directed criticisms toward President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Responding to the government's accusations against the opposition, Özel addressed claims of "unaccountable money" in his own words. Targeting AKP figures over the fund controversy, Özel called out to Erdoğan with the following remarks:
You slandered us endlessly and couldn't find a single penny, yet we proved 2 billion liras in your minister's accounts. They are conducting countless operations. While not a single penny that cannot be accounted for can be found among our friends, money is pouring out of every side of these people.
In his speech, Özel stated that they were "caught red-handed" regarding the fund allegations. Claiming that certain individuals profited from the fund, Özel also made allegations concerning AKP ministers and officials during this process.
Thanking the party organization and citizens at the meeting in Kemalpaşa, Özel pointed to the district's proximity to the Sarp Border Gate and stated that Artvin is one of the provinces that upholds the Republic, democracy, and freedoms.
Touching upon developments in Istanbul during his speech, Özel brought up allegations of pressure regarding Ataşehir. Criticizing the process concerning the municipal administration, Özel gave the message, "We have not surrendered, and we will not surrender."
Emphasizing that women should be more visible in politics and social life, Özel cited the participation in Artvin and Kemalpaşa as an example. Özel argued that his party is a source of hope for retirees, laborers, tradespeople, farmers, youth, and women.
