YENİ Party Chairman Özgür Özel addressed citizens at National Will Square as part of his Artvin program. Touching on his party's political goals in his speech, Özel also reacted to the release of footage of a woman in nightwear during an operation targeting municipalities in Mersin.
In his speech, Özel said, "We turned our compass to the nation when we set out on this path," and stated that Artvin's nature, streams, plateaus, and urban fabric must be protected. Expressing that the YENİ Party is the party of "Atatürkists, nationalists, and republicans," Özel called on citizens to join the "march to power."
One of the topics on his agenda was the stock market and fund allegations. Özel criticized the government by naming names regarding the process, which he stated affected nearly 500 thousand investors; he made criticisms regarding prosecutorial processes and asset seizure measures.
Criticizing the release of footage of a woman in her home during the operation in Mersin, Özel argued that this harms family and women's privacy. Addressing President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Özel used the following expressions:
"You are supposedly going to protect the family. You are going to release the home life of innocent, blameless people. May God protect the family from you, protect women, and protect this country; shame on you. I am addressing Erdoğan from here. Either you stop that charlatan in the Ministry of Justice who unofficially sends out every news story saying 'write it like this,' sends false and misleading information, sends false and misleading photos, and plays with the chastity of a spouse, or we will come and stop them."
