It was reported that individuals close to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu entered the CHP Headquarters under police escort following the decision, and footage of chocolates being distributed in the building was later released to the public.

HARSH WORDS FROM ÖZGÜR ÖZEL AT THE TBMM

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel addressed the footage that emerged on May 24 during his statement at the Turkish Grand National Assembly.

In his statement, Özel said:

"On that day when our dear Ferdi Zeyrek was fighting for his life after being electrocuted, the woman who drew a cartoon in Yeni Akit newspaper mocking him as 'Electrocuted' is now handing out chocolates at the party headquarters."

RESPONSE FROM GÜLŞAH ALYANS

Following Özel's remarks, Gülşah Alyans, who appeared in the footage distributing chocolates at the CHP Headquarters, made a statement on her social media account.

Tagging Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's press advisor Atakan Sönmez in her post, Alyans denied the allegations against her.

In her post, Alyans stated:

"I have no such cartoon. You are unmatched in spreading fake news. I have no posts other than saying 'May God have mercy on our President Ferdi.' My Twitter account was opened in November 2025. But you have no place to rest in peace. Continue spreading hate."

REMARKABLE POST FROM ZEKERİYA SAY

On the other hand, it emerged that Yeni Akit News Manager Zekeriya Say had previously made a post about Gülşah Alyans on his social media account.

Referring to the footage at the CHP Headquarters, Say had stated:

"I noticed it when I looked closely... It was our Gülşah handing out chocolates at the CHP Headquarters. I said just two days ago; 'Şani Berivan, vacate the building, Gülşah Alyans is coming.' We say things because we know something."

With the statements at the center of the controversy, the incident in which Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek lost his life has also returned to the agenda.

Ferdi Zeyrek lost his life on June 6, 2024, after being electrocuted while trying to check a malfunction in the pool's machine room at his home in the Yunusemre district.

Following the incident, Yeni Akit newspaper's use of the headline "Electrocuted" caused a widespread public outcry. Additionally, Yeni Akit News Manager Zekeriya Say's sharing of images and cartoons on his social media account that alluded to the electric shock also drew backlash.
