Özgür Özel remembers Ali İsmail Korkmaz
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel commemorated Ali İsmail Korkmaz, who was beaten to death during the Gezi Park protests, on the 12th anniversary of his passing.
12 years have passed since the death of 19-year-old Ali İsmail Korkmaz, who was beaten to death by police and civilians during the Gezi Park protests in Eskişehir in 2013. On the anniversary of this tragic event, Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel shared a message on the social media platform X to commemorate Korkmaz.
Özel included the following statements in his post:
"I commemorate with mercy Ali İsmail Korkmaz, who was torn from life after being kicked while pursuing his dreams during the Gezi protests. The responsibility to build the free world of his dreams rests on all of our shoulders. We will not forget. Ali İsmail Korkmaz will always be 19."
