CHP Chairman Özgür Özel responded to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu regarding his assessments of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cemil Tugay, who joined the AKP.
Özel opposed Kılıçdaroğlu's statements regarding Cemil Tugay—who was stated by the court to have been brought to the chairmanship of the CHP—and rejected the allegations regarding the candidacy process.
Arguing that Kılıçdaroğlu did not make such an objection, Özel stated, "There was not a single name that Kılıçdaroğlu expressed an opinion against regarding their candidacy."
In his statements regarding the fund fraud discussions, Özel reiterated his call for the list of 214 people, which he claims is also on the desk of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, to be shared with the public.
