Özgür Özel visits TÜSİAD
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel visited the TÜSİAD headquarters in Istanbul and met with representatives of the business world.
Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel continues his contacts with the business world. In this context, Özel visited the Turkish Industry and Business Association (TÜSİAD) headquarters in Istanbul today.
During the visit, Özel was welcomed at the building entrance by TÜSİAD Board Chairman Orhan Turan.
The meeting was also attended by CHP Deputy Chairman in charge of Economic Policies Prof. Dr. Yalçın Karatepe, CHP Group Deputy Chairman Gökhan Günaydın, and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Nuri Aslan.
WAS TARGETED BY THE AKP
TÜSİAD had recently become a target of the government. President and AKP Chairman Erdoğan had attacked the TÜSİAD management with harsh words. Subsequently, a new indictment was prepared against Turkish Industry and Business Association (TÜSİAD) Chairman Orhan Turan and High Advisory Council Chairman Mehmet Ömer Arif Aras on charges of "attempting to influence a fair trial" in a chain of events.
