Parliament rejects Kılıçdaroğlu's office request: General Chairmanship office remains with YENİ Party
The Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) has decided to allocate the offices used by deputies who left the CHP to join the YENİ Party to the new main opposition party.
The Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) has rejected the application by Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu to have the offices used by deputies who resigned from the CHP to join the YENİ Party transferred to the new CHP administration. With this decision, it was deemed appropriate for the YENİ Party, which has become the main opposition party in Parliament, to continue using the existing offices.
Kılıçdaroğlu, who was brought to the CHP General Chairmanship following the "absolute nullity" decision dated May 21, had applied to the TBMM Speaker's Office after 91 deputies left the CHP to join the YENİ Party. The application requested that the offices previously used by these deputies be allocated to the CHP.

HOW WAS THE OFFICE ALLOCATION HANDLED?
Özgür Özel and the YENİ Party administration argued that the offices should not be left to the CHP, but rather to the YENİ Party as the new main opposition party. The TBMM Speaker's Office completed its evaluation and conveyed its decision to the CHP and YENİ Party officials.
Accordingly, the General Chairmanship office used by Özgür Özel remains with the YENİ Party. Kılıçdaroğlu's request for this office to be allocated to him was rejected. It was also decided that the office used by YENİ Party Group Deputy Chair Ali Mahir Başarır would remain with the YENİ Party.

Under the decision, it was stated that the Group Management office previously used by the CHP and a room reserved for group deputy chairs were given to the CHP. It was noted that Kılıçdaroğlu and the new CHP administration would be located on the same floor as the YENİ Party.
Kılıçdaroğlu is expected to move into the office opposite that of YENİ Party Group Deputy Chair Murat Emir. It was reported that after the decision was communicated to the parties, Kılıçdaroğlu reacted to the decision by targeting TBMM Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş.
