Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş speaks on the first four articles of the Constitution: 'An unnecessary waste of time'
Parliament Speaker Kurtulmuş spoke regarding the debates on the first 4 articles of the Constitution. Kurtulmuş stated, 'Insistently bringing this to the agenda is an unnecessary waste of time. Since 1920, the guardian of this homeland has been the Turkish nation and the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) which it has authorized.'
HÜDA-PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu, while participating in a television program, targeted Article 4 of the Constitution, stating, "I said it one by one as if explaining it to a fool, yet they insist on not understanding. We are saying that Article 4 of the Constitution should not exist. We are against Article 4 of the Constitution. Okay, do you understand? Article 4 is placing a mortgage on the will of future generations," which occupied the political agenda for a long time.
