Parliament's 7-month resignation report card: 61 deputies have resigned

Seven months after the May 14 General Elections, 61 out of 600 deputies have resigned from their parties due to various reasons, including those from parties that entered the general elections on joint lists.

In this context, 38 out of the 39 deputies who entered the elections on Republican People's Party (CHP) lists have resigned, while CHP Erzincan Deputy Mustafa Sarıgül remained in his party.

Of the 38 deputies who resigned from the CHP, 15 joined the Democracy and Progress Party (DEVA), 10 joined the Future Party, 10 joined the Felicity Party, and 3 joined the Democrat Party.

ANOTHER DEPUTY TRANSFER FOLLOWING HASAN BİTMEZ

The 10 deputies who moved from the CHP to the Future Party resigned again to join the Felicity Party in order to reach the sufficient majority to form a parliamentary group, thereby establishing a group in Parliament with 20 deputies.

Following the recent passing of Felicity Party Deputy Chairman and Kocaeli Deputy Hasan Bitmez, the joint Felicity-Future group had fallen. For this reason, CHP Kütahya Deputy Ali Fazıl Kasap joined the Felicity Party.

4 RESIGNATIONS AND ONE EXPULSION IN İYİ PARTY

Two deputies who entered the elections on Green Left Party lists resigned and joined the EMEP. Two other deputies joined the Democratic Regions Party (DBP).

İYİ Party Eskişehir Deputy Nebi Hatipoğlu resigned from his party and joined the AKP. Meanwhile, Istanbul Deputy Ayşe Sibel Yanıkömeroğlu, Ankara Deputy Adnan Beker, and Istanbul Deputy Salim Ensarioğlu, who also resigned from their party, continue their work in Parliament as independents, while Sakarya Deputy Ümit Dikbayır, who was expelled from the party, also remains in Parliament as an independent.

RESIGNATIONS FROM THE AKP

Istanbul Deputy Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu, Gaziantep Deputy Şehzade Demir, Mersin Deputy Faruk Dinç, and Batman Deputy Serkan Ramalı, who entered Parliament on AKP lists, joined HÜDA PAR.

Democratic Left Party (DSP) Chairman and Istanbul Deputy Önder Aksakal, who entered the elections on the same list, continues with his own party.
