Party, Palace, Cabinet... AKP's Metiner proposes 'change' in 3 steps
As 'change' discussions continue within the AKP, which fell to second place for the first time in 22 years in the March 31 local elections, Yeni Şafak columnist and AKP member Mehmet Metiner made 3 proposals in his column today.
Yeni Şafak columnist and AKP member Mehmet Metiner has made 3 proposals to the AKP, which fell to second place for the first time since its founding in the March 31 local elections.
In his column, where he stated, "A change limited only to the party organization is not the change the nation wants," Metiner said the following:
"Change in these three areas is of vital importance.
* Change in the party.
It would be more appropriate for the Headquarters change to take place after the MKYK (Central Decision and Executive Board) is determined at the congress.
* Change in the Külliye (Presidential Complex).
It is essential that the Külliye bureaucracy, from the boards to the advisors, be thoroughly reviewed.
* Change in the cabinet.
The understanding of change here, of course, creates great meaning when it parallels the understanding of change in the party and the Külliye."
