Praise for Özgür Özel from YRP during holiday visits: 'A true statesman'

According to T24's report, YRP Deputy Chairman Mehmet Fatih Uğurlu, along with a delegation consisting of Deputy Chairman for NGO Relations Seçim Aydın and Women's Branch members Kevser Vural Yıldız and Ayşegül Kapukaya, held talks with political party delegations that came to exchange holiday greetings.

During the CHP delegation's visit, Deputy Chairman Volkan Demir conveyed the greetings and holiday wishes of CHP Chairman Özgür Özel.

"SOME TRIED TO TRIP US UP..."

YRP's Uğurlu congratulated the CHP delegation on the local election results, stating, "You achieved a very good success in the election." Volkan Demir responded by saying, "We congratulate you as well."

YRP's Uğurlu added, "It was an honor for us to take our place in Turkey as the third party. Even though some tried to trip us up and block our path with various accusations, the exact opposite happened."

CHP's Demir remarked, "We evaluate this election as one where there are winners, but no losers."

YRP's Uğurlu said, "I am listening to Mr. Özgür's statements. He is making very balanced, sensible statements. He is making statements as a true statesman. This is how a statesman should be. He has also achieved a very good success."

"THAT WAS THE ORDER, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?"

During the visit of the İYİ Party delegation, a humorous conversation took place between Deputy Chairman Ayşe Sucu and YRP's Uğurlu:

When YRP's Uğurlu asked, "Chairwoman, will you re-elect Ms. Meral?", Sucu replied, "You know Ms. Meral did not run as a candidate."

Uğurlu stated, "But Mr. Bahçeli said, 'Take charge of the party.' Isn't Bahçeli running the state? He gave the order, what are you going to do? He tells Mr. Tayyip 'don't go.' Mr. Devlet is always the one giving the instructions."

Sucu responded, "I do not find it right for parties to interfere in each other's internal affairs. Every party will do what is necessary within its own democratic structure. Therefore, other parties can have neither sovereignty nor a say over another party."
