Economic message from President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Yozgat: 'We have no problems'

President and AKP Chairman Erdoğan made statements at the rally held in Yozgat.

Erdoğan said, "We will continue our struggle until we include Turkey among the world's top 10 largest economies."

Erdoğan said the following:

From Gaza to Palestine, from Turkestan to Karabakh, we intervened with our hands, our tongues, and our hearts wherever there was occupation or oppression.

Until yesterday, there was a Turkey that imported sewing needles. Now there is a Turkey that does not buy even its pistols from abroad, but writes epics in the defense industry with 5.5 billion dollars in exports. There is a Turkey that does not turn its back on its brothers, but can take every step to protect the rights of its brothers. There is a strong, brave Turkey that plays an active role in maintaining peace in the Balkans and ending the 30-year occupation in Karabakh. We brought Turkey to these days together with you. We have grown our country 4-5 times in every field from economy to exports, from tourism to employment. We made northern Iraq and Syria narrow for the terrorist organization together.

"THEY LEVELED MANY SLANDERS BUT COULD NOT REACH THEIR GOALS"

Have you seen our national combat aircraft KAAN? KAAN successfully completed its first flight. Hopefully, when we hear the sound of a plane and look up in 2028, we will see KAAN in the sky. Our country's first national brand, Togg, has been gracing our roads for a full year. They prevented the Devrim Car 60 years ago, but they could not succeed in that with Togg.

They leveled many slanders, but they could not reach their goals. Without paying attention to those who said it didn't even have a factory, we continued on our path with determination and finally succeeded. Hopefully, we will achieve much more. We will continue our struggle until we include Turkey among the world's top 10 largest economies.

"WE HAVE NO PROBLEMS ON THE EXPORT, PRODUCTION, EMPLOYMENT... SIDE"

We have no problems on the export, production, employment, and growth side of our economy. Despite the additional burden of 104 billion dollars caused by the earthquake, we grew at a high rate of 4.5 percent last year. Our national income exceeded 1.1 trillion dollars for the first time. From where to where... Our unemployment rate saw its lowest level in the last 10 years at 9.4 percent. In tourism, we also reached 57 million tourists and 54.5 billion dollars in revenue.

"WE WILL REDUCE INFLATION TO SINGLE DIGITS"

Regarding inflation, which is our biggest problem, good news will come from the second half of the year. We will reduce inflation to single digits. I know that the high cost of living is overwhelming our retirees. We took the step of salary and bonus increases reaching 50 percent, without the 5 thousand lira payment. With these 3 regulations, we used 300 billion liras of additional resources from the budget.

Finally, we ensured that promotions were increased. Our public banks decided to pay promotions between 8 thousand and 12 thousand liras and started receiving applications as of yesterday. We believe that private banks will not offer figures below this either. We are depositing the holiday bonus in the first week of April. We will not let our employees and retirees be crushed by inflation from now on either.
