President Erdoğan hosts Tufan Erhürman

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan welcomed Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Tufan Erhürman, who is making his first official visit to Turkey, with an official ceremony at the Presidential Palace.

OFFICIAL WELCOMING CEREMONY HELD

During the welcoming ceremony at the Presidential Palace, the national anthems of both countries were played. Following the ceremony, Presidents Erdoğan and Erhürman introduced their delegations to each other. After the welcome, the two leaders proceeded to hold one-on-one and inter-delegation meetings.

ERHÜRMAN HELD CONTACTS IN TURKEY

It was reported that as part of his visit, President Erhürman met with Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) Numan Kurtulmuş and Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan before his meeting with President Erdoğan. It was learned that the discussions covered cooperation between the two countries, developments in the Eastern Mediterranean, and the current status of the Cyprus issue.

TRNC DELEGATION ARRIVED IN ANKARA

President Erhürman was accompanied on his visit to Turkey by his wife, Nilden Bektaş Erhürman. The TRNC delegation also included Undersecretary Mehmet Dana, Chief of Staff Mustafa Ergüven, and Press and Public Relations Officer Tünay Mertekçi.

ERHÜRMAN BID FAREWELL FROM NICOSIA

TRNC Assembly Speaker Ziya Öztürkler, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, Security Forces Commander Major General İlker Görgülü, ministers, and other officials were present at the farewell ceremony held in Nicosia before Erhürman's departure for Ankara.

Following the meetings held at the Presidential Palace, it was stated that the two leaders delivered messages aimed at strengthening relations between Turkey and the TRNC and maintaining regional stability.
