President Erdoğan in the TRNC... Inaugurates buildings constructed by TOKİ

The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Presidential Complex, which was completed after an approximately 3-year construction phase, was opened with the participation of President Erdoğan. Speaking at the ceremony, Erdoğan said, "Today, we are stamping another seal on these lands. We are gifting another magnificent work to the Turkish Cypriot people."

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, together with the Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum, inaugurated the new TRNC Presidential and Assembly buildings, the construction of which was completed by TOKİ.

President Erdoğan's remarks at the ceremony are as follows:

I am very pleased to be in the TRNC once again on the occasion of this meaningful ceremony. I welcome you, my dear brothers and sisters, who are witnessing this historic moment. We are all filled with great enthusiasm and excitement together. Today, we are stamping another seal on these lands. We are gifting another magnificent work to the Turkish Cypriot people. We are not just holding an ordinary opening ceremony here today. At the same time, we are declaring our will and our love for freedom.

In the first stage, we are carrying out the opening of the presidential building and the republican assembly today. We will have brought a work worthy of the increasing prestige of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to Nicosia. The Republic complex is a symbol of the determination of the Turkish Cypriot people. This place is also a manifestation of a state's will to exist in the face of injustices and lawlessness. We will continue our struggle for independence and our future more strongly. Those who try to disrupt our brotherhood, drive a wedge between us, and sow seeds of hatred in these fertile lands will not succeed.

I thank each and every one of you for your love and loyalty. I want you to know that Turkey will always be by your side whenever you need it, just as it has been in the past.

REPUBLICAN ASSEMBLY BUILDING

The assembly building, which was constructed on an area of 20 thousand 10 square meters, houses the offices of the presidency and the prime ministry, a general assembly hall with a capacity of 157 people, 25 parliamentary office rooms, and a ministerial meeting room. The building also contains a conference hall for 135 people, a dining hall for 252 people, as well as an honor hall, group meeting rooms, a presidential council, and a library. 16 meeting rooms were also built in the assembly building to be used for various events.
