President Erdoğan meets with Italian Prime Minister Meloni
President Erdoğan was welcomed with an official ceremony by Italian Prime Minister Meloni in Rome, where he traveled for the 4th Turkey-Italy Intergovernmental Summit. Erdoğan was accompanied by a large delegation from the cabinet and critical state units.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has traveled to Rome, the capital of Italy, to attend the 4th Intergovernmental Summit held between Turkey and Italy. In the capital, Erdoğan was welcomed with an official ceremony by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
The plane carrying President Erdoğan landed at Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci International Airport in Rome. Erdoğan and his accompanying delegation were welcomed there by Turkey's Ambassador to Rome, Elif Çomoğlu Ülgen, and embassy officials.

As part of the summit, Erdoğan was welcomed by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni at the official welcoming ceremony held at the Villa Pamphili residence. Meloni greeted President Erdoğan at the door the moment he stepped out of his vehicle. At the ceremony, the two leaders saluted the military guard before shaking hands and posing for the cameras.

Following the official ceremony, the leaders proceeded to a one-on-one meeting after the introduction of their delegations. The meeting is expected to address bilateral and regional issues, primarily focusing on areas of political, economic, and defense cooperation between Turkey and Italy.
