President Erdoğan spoke at the ceremony held at Atatürk Airport: 'We have fought against mafias and gangs'

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made statements at the ceremony held at Atatürk Airport for the commissioning of new vehicles for the Gendarmerie and Police forces.

Highlights from Erdoğan's statements are as follows:

"We are renewing the vehicles in the inventory of the General Directorate of Security and the Gendarmerie General Command that have reached the end of their service life. Today, we are holding the commissioning ceremony for 7,204 new vehicles for our Gendarmerie and Police organizations. There cannot be any place where our police and gendarmerie do not set foot or patrol. Along with human resources, their equipment and technological capacity must also increase.

WE FOUGHT AGAINST GANGS WITHOUT COMPROMISE

'We have viewed security as one of the load-bearing columns of the Century of Turkey. We increased our technical capacity and developed a new concept of struggle. Fighting against mafias and gangs without compromise was one of these. Not letting urban bandits breathe was one of these. Those who threaten the peace of our citizens have found our security units standing against them. We came down hard on the lowlifes who saw themselves as untouchable. We left no room for terrorist organizations. 35,500 operations were carried out against bloodthirsty criminals. Almost every day, we receive news of the neutralization of a high-level terrorist. We are carrying these out with our own national weapons. We saw how important this is with the terrorist attacks in Lebanon.

The value of the investments in our national technology initiative has been understood. We will continue our work until we reach the goal of a fully independent Turkey in the defense industry. Arms lobbies, chaos lobbies, and blood merchants who feed on the tears of the oppressed are uncomfortable with us, with a growing and strengthening Turkey.

Our security forces do not stop pursuing these murderous gangs. The same applies to poison and human traffickers. We cannot make the slightest concession regarding Turkey's peace. We cannot ignore the smallest threat directed at our state, our nation, or our democracy.

Everyone who disturbs the peace of our nation and disrupts public order will face the iron fist of our state inside a velvet glove.'"
