President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at the TRT World Forum 2023.
Erdoğan stated that Turkey is ready to take responsibility to ensure that no more blood is shed, no more destruction occurs, and no more tears are shed in Gaza.
Erdoğan also noted that international organizations lack the ability to solve problems, stating, "Unfortunately, it is not the Westerners who pour gasoline on the fire, but the innocent who pay the price for every day and every moment lost in establishing lasting peace."
"THEY ARE TRYING TO LEGITIMIZE IT"
Reminding that more than 70 media members have lost their lives in Gaza, Erdoğan said, "Global media cartels are trying to hide the brutality in Gaza from view and legitimize the massacre of journalists under the pretext of Hamas."
Erdoğan recalled that an Anadolu Agency reporter was martyred in Gaza and stated, "A journalist is being murdered every day, yet none of the institutions that have lectured us on press freedom for years are even making a sound."
Touching upon Israel's attacks in Gaza, Erdoğan said, "Despite all its barbarity, Israel, which cannot break the resistance of the people of Gaza, is also losing the propaganda war in the media."
Referring to the trial and conviction of former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milošević at the International Court of Justice in The Hague, Erdoğan said, "Netanyahu and his accomplices will be tried in the same way, and they will eventually be convicted."
Erdoğan stated, "If we cannot stop Israel's cruelty, no one anywhere in the world can feel safe. Because once the Pandora's box is opened, it cannot be closed."
