Presidential Chief Advisor reacts to 'Radar' issue

As the debate over radar density on highways continues, support for public reactions has also come from the Presidency. Presidential Chief Advisor Oktay Saral criticized the frequency of speed radars in a statement he made on social media.

YERLIKAYA HAD SAID "THERE IS A RADAR EVERY 30 KM"

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, in a statement he made recently, pointed out that a total of 120 radar devices are conducting inspections day and night on highways across Turkey, saying, "There is a radar every 30 kilometers." This statement had fueled discussions following complaints from drivers.

"MANY COMPLAINTS ARE RECEIVED EVERY DAY"

Evaluating the issue, Oktay Saral stated that he has been receiving intense complaints from citizens regarding the radar application and addressed Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya. In his statement, Saral used the following expressions:

"There are some issues that need to be viewed from the perspective of a statesman. Many people call every day and complain about the fact that a radar has been placed every 30 km. They are requesting that the Minister of Interior find a remedy for this situation."
