Presidential Chief Advisor threatens the opposition: 'The state takes note, the heads of uprisings will be crushed very harshly'

Presidential Advisor Ayhan Oğan used threatening language toward opposition segments in a statement he made on social media. Stating, "After the March 31 elections, an excessive self-confidence and aggression have been observed in some opposition social media accounts, primarily among opposition politicians," Oğan shared the results of the May 28, 2023 Presidential election and the March 31, 2024 local elections, claiming that there was no increase in votes for the opposition.

Oğan's words, "Those who see themselves as being in a position of power should come to their senses. The state takes note. The heads of illegitimate uprisings will be crushed very harshly," drew attention.

To understand the facts, the results of the two elections held in the last year are below:

May 28, 2023
