Pro-government columnist makes striking claims about CHP figure: Alleged he wrote a letter to Assad
Akit columnist Muhammet Seyfullah Maden has claimed that CHP Hatay MP Mehmet Güzelmansur wrote a letter to Assad in the past.
Akit columnist Muhammet Seyfullah Maden has claimed that CHP Hatay MP Mehmet Güzelmansur wrote a letter to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad years ago. In addition to this claim, Maden pointed out that the CHP deputy visited Selim Narlı, who presents himself as an "Alawite sheikh" in Hatay, and drew attention to the timing of this visit.
According to the information provided in Maden's article, Selim Narlı had used expressions targeting Turkey in his recent statements. Narlı, who said, "The supporter of Jolani is the AKP government," had made headlines with his claim that "We have 10 thousand martyrs in one night." It was noted that Narlı targeted the Sunni community by saying, "You are Yazid Muslims," and his remarks that "Alawites are seeking protection from Turkey or Israel" also sparked significant controversy.
However, according to Maden, the most striking point was Narlı's following statements:
“Either the Turkish Armed Forces will stop the oppression there, or I will make a request to the Israeli government.”
Stating that with these words, Narlı portrayed Turkey and Israel in a similar position in Syria and implied that Israel is an alternative to Turkey for Alawites, Maden argued that such rhetoric is being processed in a planned manner.
CHP DEPUTY GÜZELMANSUR'S VISIT AND THE LETTER ALLEGEDLY WRITTEN TO ASSAD
Maden drew attention to the fact that CHP Hatay MP Mehmet Güzelmansur visited Selim Narlı, who has been on the agenda with his controversial statements, a few days ago. The fact that this visit took place shortly before the attacks in Latakia and Jableh was found to be noteworthy.
Reminding that CHP figures such as Özgür Özel, Özgür Karabat, and Cemal Enginyurt have claimed that a massacre against Alawites is taking place in Syria, Maden suggested that Güzelmansur's visit could also be a part of this process.
One of the most striking claims in Maden's article was that CHP's Mehmet Güzelmansur had written a letter to Bashar al-Assad in the past.
