Pro-government media reveals: Will Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu run in the party congress?

The CHP's ordinary congress process is expected to be initiated in September. It has been stated that Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who returned to the chairmanship following a court ruling of "absolute nullity," will prepare the party organization for the congress process with the message of a "safe harbor."

According to a report in the Türkiye newspaper, Kılıçdaroğlu's inner circle conveyed that what is meant by the "safe harbor" narrative is a "spotless, indisputable, clean, and fair" congress process.

It was also stated that headquarters staff expressed that Kılıçdaroğlu wants the congress process to be conducted in an atmosphere free from tension that preserves unity and integrity within the party.

According to the same sources, the staff assessed that "Mr. Kemal will bring the safe harbor narrative to the forefront even more."

Whether or not Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu will be a candidate at the ordinary congress has also been among the topics discussed in party corridors.

The report noted that some headquarters staff, whose views were included, argued that Kılıçdaroğlu would not enter the congress race, using the phrase, "Mr. Kemal will not enter the election."
