Protest by the Left Party at the site where Hrant Dink was shot! 'Killers are on the streets...'
The Left Party will protest the release of Hrant Dink's killer, Ogün Samast, after 16 years. The protest will take place today at 16:00 at the Istanbul Osmanbey Metro exit, where a press statement will be made.
Former Agos Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Hrant Dink was murdered by Ogün Samast on January 19, 2007.
Samast was released yesterday evening after 16 years had passed.
The Istanbul Provincial Organization of the Left Party will also hold a press conference today at 16:00 at the Osmanbey metro exit.
The following statements were included in the call made by the Left Party:
“Hrant’s killer, Ogün Samast, was released yesterday evening. While Gezi protesters, journalists, and politicians are kept in prison, killers are on the streets! We will not surrender our country to the dirty and dark rule of killers, mafias, and gangs. We are at the place where Hrant was shot! Meeting: November 16, Thursday (today) at 16:00, Osmanbey Metro exit”
