Reaction to detentions from Özgür Çelik! 'We are following the process'
CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik made statements regarding the status of the 372 people detained in Istanbul during the May 1st celebrations. Çelik said, "We are following the legal process, and we will not leave our citizens alone."
CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik shared the number of those detained in Istanbul during the celebrations held for the May 1st Labor and Solidarity Day in a statement on his social media account.

Çelik stated, "According to our findings, 372 of our citizens who wanted to exercise their constitutional rights on May 1st are in custody. Some are at the Vatan Police Headquarters, and some are at the Gayrettepe Police Headquarters. We are following the detention processes with our legal commission and members of parliament. We will not leave any of our citizens alone. We will also follow the legal process regarding the images of violence that have been reflected in the public eye."
