Remarkable comment from AKP's Birinci following SOCAR protest: 'Conjectural political approach...'

Former AKP MKYK member Mücahit Birinci, in a post he made on social media following the paint protest against SOCAR Turkey, said, "Do not show hostility toward Azerbaijan under the pretext of Gaza," and added, "The Turkey-Azerbaijan brotherhood is above all kinds of conjectural political approaches."

"DO NOT SHOW HOSTILITY TOWARD AZERBAIJAN UNDER THE PRETEXT OF GAZA"

Mücahit Birinci noted the following in his social media post:

"Do not show hostility toward Azerbaijan under the pretext of Gaza'

We must be vigilant. Azerbaijan is our kinsman, our blood, our soul, whom we will not give up under any conditions or circumstances.

The Turkey-Azerbaijan brotherhood is above all kinds of conjectural political approaches."

13 PEOPLE DETAINED

The State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), which was protested by the Thousand Youth for Palestine group in front of its building in Istanbul last Friday, was targeted by protesters who threw red paint at the company, alleging that it supplies oil to Israel.

Some of the protesters chanted, "We have come to hold SOCAR accountable on behalf of the Palestinian people for supplying the oil for the jets bombing Rafah." 13 people from the Thousand Youth for Palestine group were detained in their homes in the early hours of the morning.

STATEMENT FROM SOCAR

SOCAR Turkey claimed that the allegations that the company sells crude oil to Israel are intended to mislead the public, stating, "The accusations that SOCAR currently sells crude oil to Israel are baseless and are intentionally aimed at misleading the public."
