Response from Berkay Gezgin to Gürsel Tekin: 'He is the last person'

Gürsel Tekin, who was appointed as a trustee to the CHP Istanbul Provincial Presidency, made a post directed at former Party Assembly member Berkay Gezgin following the 39th Ordinary Congress of the CHP. In a statement on his X account, Tekin said,

“My dear child Berkay, in politics, your path is determined by principles, not individuals. Take steps with reason, not anger. Do not rush; those who walk with patience and truth do not tire, do not wear out, they grow. Do not lose your heart and your principles, always remember this.”

RESPONSE FROM BERKAY GEZGİN

Following Tekin's statement, Berkay Gezgin gave a harsh response via his social media account. Targeting Gürsel Tekin, Gezgin used the following expressions:

“Someone who is a puppet of the government, who attempted to force his way into the provincial building with 5,000 police officers, who cursed at the party's youth branches, who said 'These are not party members,' who had tear gas sprayed in the faces of members of parliament, and who is too cowardly to even open his tweets to comments, is the last person in this life from whom I would take advice on being an older brother.”

Berkay Gezgin, who is remembered for the phrase “Everything will be very beautiful” during Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu’s election campaign, had announced at the 39th Ordinary Congress of the CHP that he would not be a candidate for the Party Assembly again in order to focus on his university education.
